UPDATE MAY 19, 2019 PLEASE NOTE: OUR ARENA SUSTAINED SOME STRUCTURAL DAMAGE THIS PAST WINTER DUE TO MAJOR SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OVER AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, AND IS CLOSED AT THIS TIME. THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS HAS SECURED REPAIR FUNDING, A CONTRACTOR, AND ALL PAPERWORK IS COMPLETE. DEMOLITION IS SCHEDULED TO BEGIN AND WHEN IT DOES, CONTRACTOR PUTS COMPLETION AT 63 DAYS.
The arena we use is 100’x200′ indoor and is surrounded by good solid grandstands with plenty of parking available. The stands hold around 1,000 spectators, so there is no pre-registration nor advance ticket sales. Come early so you don’t miss anything, and please pay the daily $30 (cash or check only….no credit/debit cards accepted) spectator fee.
Please dress comfortably warm for fall weather as even though it is an indoor arena, it is not heated. A nice cushion/blanket will certainly benefit you! If you must bring your dog, it must be on a leash at all times and should be silent and well behaved while in the grandstand areas. Restrooms are located on both the north and south sides of the grandstands.
The The HORSE PLAY CAFE on the NE corner of the arena will once again be open for us this year, 8am to 5pm! They serve up wonderfully delicious food made to order, coffee and espresso drinks …and have been receiving rave reviews. The warm kitchen has windows to view the arena, although the sound system is not piped in.
The Tacoma Unit also has electrical and water hookups for those wishing to overnight in an RV. The cost per night is $30 for hookup. More information can be found on the “Area Accommodations” page. Please register with your license number and pay for the number of nights you will be staying at the Show Office (SE corner) when you arrive.
